PRIORITIES 🤔Where does eating enough food, the right foods and exercising fit into your list priorities? 🏆I know for me they are near the top. Some of you may read that and go okay thats fine for you, you don’t have kids or a 9-5 job. ➡️But i do have a lot of other things to fit onto my priority list - a dog, a horse, a cat and partner who require my love and attention, a business to build and run that i never stop thinking about, a mortgage to pay etc etc you get the idea. 🏋️‍♀️But exercise and eating well are so important to be that i get up earlier to fit everything in, i prepare meals before travelling so I’m not tempted to grab unhealthy options, i block out 1-2hrs everyday to focus on my own trainings - sometimes this means turning down a client (income) but its important to me so i do it. 👌My point is there is ALWAYS room on the list and time in the day for things you truly want. Its about listing down your priorities - work, home, finances, holidays, tv etc and then add the exercise and eating well in there somewhere. ⬇️If its below things like tv, holidays, playstation etc thats totally cool, its your choice but don’t cry about not getting results in the gym if thats the case. ⬆️If its something you really want then maybe you just have to think about getting up earlier, ditching the tv, sacrificing your Sunday afternoons to prep some healthy meals for the week so you can make better choices when you are busier during the week. 🕛Everyones life’s are different and everyone has a different order of priorities but we all have the same 24hrs in the day to choose what means the most to us. 🏆I challenge you to make a list, i'd be super interested to see where exercise fits. Is the first thing you do pick up your phone and check social media? ————————— I’ve found over the last few weeks of changing how I spend my first 20-30mins per day has changed the outcomes of most of my days a lot. I give myself an extra 30mins in the morning to breathe, meditate, journal and just be alone with my thoughts. People think I’m nuts for “missing out” on that time time sleeping but it sets me up right and I love it. ⬆️More focus ⬆️More patience ⬆️More positivity ⬇️Less running off adrenaline ⬇️Less anxious ——————————- ✔️Breathing - most of us suck at this, shallow chest breathing, keeping the tummy sucked in, Which all leads to our stress hormones kicking in, fight or flight mode which drains us. Learn to breathe consciously deep into your stomach, give this a practice everyday and also in situations you are finding stressful it will help. ✔️Meditation - something we can all do no matter what we may believe in, an amazing way to ground and relax your thoughts and body.
